The 103rd edition of the prestigious Ushirika Day Awards took place at the iconic KICC, celebrating the impact and growth of co-operatives across Kenya. The event was graced by H.E. Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, FCPA, E.G.H., Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs, with H.E. Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, serving as the Guest of Honour.
In his keynote address, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi lauded the cooperative movement for its integral role in driving Kenya’s economy and creating an environment where foreign investors continue to find confidence in the country. He commended SACCOs for their efforts in empowering members—both personally and professionally, for the short and long term.
